A business customer is any business or organisation e.g. company, trust etc. All details specific to the business are stored against the business customer (with information like address, contacts, bank accounts, etc).
When a business customer is created in the platform, either by registering themselves on the portal , or if they are created in Fusion by finance company users, they CAN receive:
- a welcome email which should contain details about what they are primarily intending to use the platform for. When a customer is created they indicate if they intend to invest or borrow as their primary function. A welcome email can be sent to the customer with more details regarding what they are wanting to do on the platform and this email can contain documents that are specific to that function and specific to the type of entity, that the customer can read or read and return to the finance company. 1. Login to Clearmatch Fusion with the relevant credentials:
2. Navigate to Customers > Business Customer Search:
3. Before attempting to create a new business customer, use the Filter Options first to try and find the customer (click on the
button once the filter selection has been made). This is important to avoid creating duplicate business customers:
4. If the business customer does not appear in the list, click on the cross/plus icon
located in the top right hand corner to create a new business customer:
5. There are several sections that need to be completed and the first screen is the Name tab with all of the following details that need to be filled in for the business customer:
Finance Company: Select the relevant finance company that the customer will belong to, from the drop down list (mandatory field).
Originator Group: This is dependent on the finance company selection (and may by default, select the associated originator group based on the finance company) but if there are more than one, select the relevant originator group from the drop down list (mandatory field).
Originator: This is dependent on both the finance company and originator group selection (and also may be default, select the associated originator based on the originator group and finance company) but if there are more than one, select the relevant originator from the drop down list (mandatory field).
ABN: Enter the Australian Business Number, which is a unique 11 digit number that identifies the business to the government and community (optional field).
ABN Status: Select the status of the ABN, from the drop down list (optional field).
ACN: Enter the Australian Company Number which is a unique 9 digit number issued by the Australian Securities and Invesments Commission to every company registered as an identifier (optional field).
Legal Name: Enter the official name of the business that is registered with the state filing office (mandatory field).
Name: Enter the name of the company or business, even if it is the same as the legal name (mandatory field).
Trading Name / Business Name: Enter the official trading name of the company/business which is frequentyly used by companies to operate under a name different from their registered, legal name (mandatory field).
Short Display Name: Enter the details of the short display name of the company (mandatory field).
Business Activity: Enter the details of the activities that the business is associated with (mandatory field).
Years with Current Owners: Enter the number of years that the business has worked with their current owners (optional field).
Number of Employees: Enter the number of employees that is currently working under the business (optional field).
Registered for GST: The default is set to unchecked, but enabling the tick in the check box will confirm that the company is GST registered.

6. This will show the Categorisation tab, with the following details that need to be filled in:
Primarily Use the Platform To: Select the option from the drop down list on how the system will be sued e.g. if the customer is an investor, then the option Lend will be selected from the drop down list. This is then used in the system in specific places and determines which default menu items will appear for that user - investor or borrower menu items (mandatory field).
Business Type: Select the business type from the drop down list which are the businesses defined on www. business.gov.au (mandatory field).
Industry: Select from the drop down list, the group based on the primary business activities for that company (optional field).
Nature of Business: Select from the drop down list, the sector or industry that the company belongs to and describes what the company does (optional field)
Once all of the relevant details have been entered, click on the

7. This will show the General tab, with the following details that need to be filled in:
User Name: Enter the username to assign to the business customer that they can use if/when login to the portal is required (mandatory field).
Invest on Behalf of Business: By default, this check box is not enabled but can be if the business customer would like to invest on behalf of a business.
Once all of the relevant details have been entered, click on the

8. This will show the Entities tab, with the following details that need to be filled in:
Originating Entity: This will by default, select the option based on the Finance Company selected in 5. If this differs from what was originally selected, choose an option from the drop down list.
Investor Fund Warehousing Entity: This should also select the default investor fund warehousing entity (based on the originating entity) but if there is a specific entity required for this business customer select an option from the drop down list.
Once all of the relevant details have been entered, click on the

9. This will show the Incorporation tab, with the following details that need to be filled in:
Country of Incorporation: Using the search functionality, find and select the country that the company was formed in (mandatory field).
Date Incorporated: Enter the date when the company was founded or formed legally (optional field).
Registered Body: Enter the details of the Australlian registered body if business is conducted in a home state or territory (optional field).
Registered Number: Enter the number if the company is an Australian registered body (optional field).
ARSN: Enter the Australian Registered Scheme Number which is a unique 9 digit identifier issued to Australian management investment schemes by ASIC (optional field).
Tax Number: Enter the details of the tax number for the company (optional field).
Listed Market / Exchange: If required, enter the details of the listed market/exchange (optional field).
Parent Listed Company Name: If required, enter the details of the parent listed company name (optional field).
Establishing Legislation Name: If required, enter the details of the establishing legislation name (optional field).
Details of Membership Class: If required, enter the details of the membership class (optional field).

10. This will show the Contact tab, with the following details that need to be filled in:
Primary Contact Email: Enter the main email address for the company (mandatory field).
Primary Contact Email: Re-enter the email address that was added above as confirmation (mandatory field).
Web Site: Enter the website for the company (optional field).
Once all of the relevant details have been entered, click on the

11. This will show the Marketing tab, with the following details that need to be filled in:
Source Of Business: Select from the drop down list, the source of business which is based on the finance company (mandatory field).
Campaign: Select from the drop down list, the available campaign for the business customer, based on the finance company (mandatory field).
Click on the
