Ownership Groups are used in Clearmatch to control access to data. These Ownership Groups are hierarchical. The concept being that users, customers, listings, loans, bids and investments etc. are all assigned to Ownership Groups.
A user only be able to see the data for the Ownership Group hierarchy that he is assigned to and below. Being hierarchical, a Parent Ownership Group is able to access the data of all its children. This applies to all data in the system including when filters and searches are performed by the user.
1. To create an Ownership Group navigate to Configuration -> Security
2. Select Ownership Groups under Ownership Group Maintenance
3. Click on

icon to create a new Ownership Group.
4. Provide a Name for the Ownership Group and select the Parent Ownership Group from the drop down list.
Name - enter a meaningful name for the Ownership group that you are creating
Parent Ownership Group - Select the parent ownership group from the drop down provided. This list will bring only the same ownership group or the ownership group that fall below the user's ownership group.
After providing the Name and the Parent ownership group click on

to create the new ownership group.
5. Once you have completed creating ownership group you will be able to see the hierarchy by following the steps mentioned in this
