Investment - change investor

Investment - change investor

An option exists under an investment that will allow for the investor of the investment to be changed / modified.

This is NOT a sale of an investment and NOT a transfer of an investment from one investor to another at a specific point in time.

In other words, if investor A  had investment 111 from 1 January 2018, investor A would see all transactions on the investment in the portal and reports produced. If on the 1 February 2020 the investor on investment 111 was changed to be investor Z, investor Z would see all transactions on the investment in the portal and reports produced from inception of the investment. Unlike the sale of an investment or transfer of an investment.

Note! that investor A would retain their fund account and the transactions under the fund account. Investor Z would have their own fund account and only any new transactions that take place on investment 111 that are cleared and transferred to the fund account, will appear under the fund account of investor Z.

Also note that the original bid that took place on the application, will remain in the name of the original investor.

If for any reason this option is used after an investment has been in place and transactions exist against the investment, please ensure the necessary reports and investor tax details are taken care of and recorded, as the platform will merely "change the investor" using this option as explained above.
