Remove membership security permissions - example legal and documents page on the portal

Membership security roles control the access to functions and features in portal. More details on creating and editing membership security roles can be found in this link

This article will be  explain how to remove access to legal and doc page available in portal.
Legal and document page is where customers are allowed to supply the documents that are required by the finance company. But if the finance company no longer requires the customers to provide documents,access to legal and documents page can be removed from the membership security permissions. In order to do that, 



1.Navigate to Configuration ->  Portal



2.Select membership security roles under Security 


3.Use the filter options to list the membership security roles and click on   once the filter selection has been made. 



4. Select the membership security role that you would like to change, by clicking on the link via role  



Note: It is important to select the correct membership security role . As an example , if investors are no longer required to supply the documents via portal , then the permission has to be removed from the correct membership security role which has been applied against the customer. 
5.  After selecting the role , click on     to do the necessary changes to the role.

6. In order to remove permission to access legal and documents page, set the filters as follows: 
Finance company : Select the finance company from the drop down list 
Role : it will be set to the membership security role that was selected in the step 4.
Module : select fund account from the drop down list
Asset Class : select fund control from the drop down list 



7. Once the above details have been setup all the available and assigned permission(s) will get listed against the member role related to the selected module and asset class. 



8. In order to remove permission to access legal and documents page in portal, move the following highlighted permissions from permission(s) assigned tab to available permission(s) using    arrow in the middle.

Once the above assigned permission(s) is removed click on  for changers to make effect. When the customer login to portal after removing the permission, legal and documents page will not be visible to the customer.
