Security clearance levels exist in the system to add an additional level of user access security. Even if a user is assigned to a user group that has access to a specific function, if the user does not have the clearance level that will allow the appropriate access, they will not be able to perform the function. This is to offer a layer of protection to more sensitive functions within the finance company. There will be instances where a request to change the way a system user is setup (if a user has changed their role and requires more security access) and the instructions below will outline how to do this.
1. Log into Clearmatch Fusion and provided the user who has logged in has the required access, select the relevant Asset Class:
2. Navigate to Configuration > Security:
3. Select Users under User Maintenance:
4. Using the Filter Options, find the system user that needs a security permission update and select them:
5. Once you have selected the user from the list, user details will be shown in the Display User page and you will able to see the existing clearance level of the user along with other details.
6. To change the clearance level of the user click on

icon at the top right hand corner of the screen.
7. Select the new Clearance level for the user from the Clearance Level drop down and click on
the
button:
A list of all of the clearance levels will be outlined below:
- System Administrator
This is the clearance level reserved for all functions and operations that can only be performed by a support administrator e.g. Clearmatch staff. Only users who belong to the 'finance company that owns the platform' or users from Clearmatch who are responsible for setting up finance companies will see or be assigned to this clearance level.
- Internal Administrator
This is the highest clearance level that can be assigned to a user by finance company users. This clearance level (and the clearance levels below) will give finance companies the abillity to restrict and ensure that certain users will be unable to perform certain operations regardless of their security rights.
- Internal Super User
This is the next highest clearance level that can be assigned to a user by finance company users.
- Internal User
Most users with the system will be given this access level and is the default when a system user is being created.
- Guest
This is a read only access level and regardless of what security rights the user has, they will only be able to read and not update any information in the system.
