Warehousing entity

Warehousing entity

The warehousing entities hold all the financial control accounts and the bank accounts and as such all transactions in the platform reside at warehousing entity level. Many warehouse entities can be created for a finance company allowing a finance company to have more than one bank account and different control account setups.

How are warehouse entities assigned

When the investor record for the customer it is assigned the "investor fund warehousing entity" that has been setup against the customer.

When the fund account for the customer it is assigned the "investor fund warehousing entity" that has been setup against the customer.

When an application is created, the application will be assigned to the warehousing entity that exists against the originator group and product the application was created in. Users can modify the warehousing entity the application belongs to by navigating to the application and updating it.

When the application is purchased to become a finance agreement, the finance agreement will be assigned to the warehousing entity the application belongs to. Users can modify the warehousing entity the finance agreement belongs to by navigating to the finance agreement and updating it.

Any bids created against the application will be assigned to the warehousing entity the investor belongs to. Users can modify the warehousing entity the bid belongs to by navigating to the bid and updating it.

When the application is purchased and the bids become investments, the investments will be assigned to the same warehousing entity as the bids. Users can modify the warehousing entity the investment belongs to by navigating to the investment and updating it.

Here is an explanation on how to change the warehousing entity on an application. The same process applies when trying to change the warehousing entity on a finance agreement, bid, investment, customer etc.
