Notifications are used for all types of messaging to
users of the platform. At this point it will be used when the user does any of
the following and the processes run in the background in order for the user to continue to do other things while processing takes place and when complete the
user is alerted:
When the user starts any of the
above processes, it will be processed in the background if it is taking too long and
the system user that started the process will be notified that it is running
via the notifications. The user will then be able to continue to do other work.
The notification bar will appear at the top of the page when the user has a notification. Clicking on the notification will open the details.
For the processes affected, when a user starts the process, a notification bar will appear. Each time the system user refreshes a page the notification will be rechecked and once the process is complete it will be removed from the notification bar. If there are no longer any notifications for the user, the notification bar will no longer appear. This way when the user no longer sees the notification they will know the process is complete and they can return to it. If a notification process is in another asset class example a fund account statement is being run and the user is currently in the unsecured loan asset class. If they click on the notification a new window will be opened for the notification that exists in another asset class.
