Add smartfund product mandate - investment category
The Smartfund logic to place bids automatically for investors, makes use of mandates that are defined by investors to ensure that bids are placed as per their financial requirements. These mandates will be able to be defined by finance company users on behalf of investors. There are different levels of investors, and all will have a different level of mandate sophistication e.g. Wholesale, Retail, etc.
Finance companies are able to define smartfund product mandates at investment category level that will then be assigned to investors when they are created and assigned to the investment category. The mandates will still need to be activated against the investors before they will be used but this can assist in speeding up the capture of mandates against investors.
You will only be able to create new smartfund product mandates with a new effective date. Editing of existing mandates is not allowed for auditing and historical purposes .
Important Note: Before attempting to add a smartfund product mandate, please ensure that the smartfund mandate options are defined. If this is not defined, the following message will be displayed:
1. Log in to Clearmatch Fusion:
2. Navigate to Home Pages > Investing:
4. Select the investment category that you need to add the smartfund product mandate from the List Investment Categories page
5.Once you select the investment category, you will be directed to Display Investment category page and go to Action Panel 
> Smartfund > Add Smartfund Product Mandate:
6. The details that can be supplied on each page are the same as those in the article which explains how to dd smartfund product mandates to an investor. Please see here for the specific details.
7. On the Authorisation screen, the credentials (namely the authorisation code) of the person creating the mandate and the username and authorisation code for a supervisor needs to be entered:
Click on the 
button to create the new mandate. The 
button can be selected to return to the previous step or the 
button can be selected to return back to the Display Investor screen.
16. Once the new mandate has been created you will be able to see it under Smartfund Product Mandate tab at the bottom of the page.
