On-boarding an investor through Clearmatch Fusion

When on boarding an investor, the required steps that need to be followed are outlined below:



Investors can be setup in two ways:
- Through the Portal: This can be done by an investor or by a finance company staff member on behalf of an investor.
- Through Clearmatch Fusion: On Boarding an investor through Fusion can only be completed by a staff member.

This article will focus on the steps and instructions that are required to create an investor through Clearmatch Fusion.
    
1. Steps to setup a new investor 

1.1 Invest as an Individual:

An individual investor is someone that wishes to invest in their own right and using their own money. These individuals are setup within Clearmatch as 'personal customers'.   

To create a personal customer, login to Clearmatch using the appropriate staff member login details and refer to the instructions on how to create a personal customer, outlined in this article

Once the customer has been setup in the system, they need to be AML verified. The details on how to AML verify a customer is included in this article.
The customer must also have an investment category assigned as detailed in this article.

Following this setup, the membership security roles for the customer need to be set. The details and necessary steps on how to add membership security roles are mentioned in this article.

After the customer has been setup and verified, the bank account details need to be added. The step-by-step instructions on how to complete this can be found in this article.

If a principle investor will be investing on behalf of the investor they will need to be added to the customer. To do this, use the steps outlined in this article.

Finally, set the membership security roles to the principle investor (with the details specified in this article).   

1.2 Invest as a Business: 

A business customer is any business or organisation such as a trust or company. These businesses are setup within Clearmatch as business customers and to create one, simply login to Clearmatch using staff member login details and follow the full instructions on how to create a business customer in this article.  

Once the customer has been setup in the system, they need to be AML verified. The steps on how to AML verify a customer are shown in this article.

An investment category needs to be assigned to the customer with the information on how to do this in this article

The membership security roles then need to be set for the customer. All of the details and necessary steps on how to add membership security roles are mentioned in this article.

After the customer has been setup and verified, the bank account details need to be added. To do this, follow the instructions in this article

The business governance individuals or businesses need to be added e.g. directors, trustees, etc. Both individuals and businesses can be added as governance relationships, with details on how to complete this supplied in this article.  

The final step is to set the membership security role for business governance and relationships, following the steps in this article.

2. Once the investor has been setup within Clearmatch (as an individual investor or as a company) all of the supporting documentation collected against the customer can be uploaded using the information provided in this article.  

3. Once the documents have been uploaded against a document type, any documents requiring authorisation can be reviewed by an authorised representative (in order for those documents to be approved or declined). The full instructions on how to approve those documents are mentioned in this article.

4. The next step will be to define the smartfund product mandate details and the smartfund asset class mandate details (if the investor will be participating in the smartfund automated investing option in Clearmatch).  Steps on how to add smartfund product mandate for an investor are specified in this article. 5. If the investor has requested funds to be automatically withdrawn when earned, an automated repayment frequency will need to be setup. Steps on how to set up automated repayment frequencies are mentioned in this article.

If the investor has selected to participate in the smartfund automated investing option in Clearmatch, the reinvestment option will need to be defined to let the platform know what money should be used for investing.
